STOOL PIGEON

Once an ordinary man living alone in an ageing Pretty City apartment block, Stool Pigeon spent much of his spare time caring for a flock of homing pigeons he kept on the roof. Then one day he returned home to find every one of them gone without a trace. Determined to discover what happened, he began haunting the seedier corners of Pretty City, eventually becoming a familiar face around the docks and earning a living as an informant for anyone willing to pay. The money helps, but information is what he really wants - because somewhere out there is the answer to what happened to his pigeons.

Stool Pigeon has no superpowers, but a specially modified suit gifted to him by Dogstar provides limited protection against bullets, blades and fire, along with razor-sharp claws and just enough lift to let him flutter rather ungracefully through the air. He’s unlikely to defeat a supervillain single-handedly, but he can usually annoy one long enough for the real cavalry to arrive. With contacts ranging from superheroes to Pretty City outsiders like Black Sheep, Stool Pigeon hears plenty - and sooner or later, he’s convinced he’ll hear the one thing that matters.
