SOFIE'S BEDROOM

Sofie lives with her grandfather in an old family home in Beacon Point, one of Pretty City’s quieter eastern suburbs near the water. Her bedroom is perhaps the most ordinary thing about her: bright, comfortable and unmistakably lived in, filled with books, plants, photographs and the usual collection of things accumulated over eighteen years.

It’s where Sofie studies, reads, wastes time and occasionally manages to stop thinking about whatever question is currently occupying her mind. Her much-loved Slurpo plush has claimed a permanent fixture on the bed, while an old lava lamp provides considerably less useful illumination than anything downstairs. Up here, she’s just Sofie.
