PART 1 OF EACH STORY - LAUNCHING LATE OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER 2026
ROT EMPEROR
Rot Emperor is the calculating leader of the Unmortals, though exactly what he hopes to accomplish with his strange collection of followers remains unclear. A human-fungus hybrid whose origins appear to be connected to scientific research - and to Dotty long before either became what they are today - he possesses an extraordinary command of fungal life. Rot Emperor can release toxic and debilitating spores, accelerate fungal growth and decay, regenerate damaged tissue, and manipulate vast networks of mycelium beneath the ground, even using them to sense activity across areas heavily colonised by fungus. His knowledge of fungal toxins allows him to tailor different spores for different effects, making preparation one of his greatest weapons. Intelligent, patient and disturbingly difficult to read, the self-styled Emperor rarely involves himself directly when someone - or something - else can do the work for him, leaving his true motives as carefully concealed as his past.
