Pong is the Clown Syndicate’s mysterious automaton and resident wheelman, though nobody - including Pong - seems to know exactly how he came to be. Once an ordinary laughing clown machine, something transformed the amusement into a semi-intelligent, self-aware mechanical menace with an unsettling personality of his own. Pong fires oversized ping-pong balls from his mouth like cannonballs, loading them with explosives or thick clouds of smoke depending on the occasion. When he isn’t providing artillery, he’s behind the wheel of the Syndicate’s clown car, where his mechanical reflexes make him an unnervingly capable driver. Pong can speak, but his halting mechanical voice and limited understanding of the world often make it difficult to tell just how much is going on inside that metal head.
