JK is determined to make the most of life in Pretty City. After moving from Tokyo with her older brother Sarariman, she settled into a nearby school where basketball quickly became one of her favourite activities. Her speed, reflexes and uncanny ball control make her a natural on the court, even if she can’t quite explain how she pulls off some of those impossible curves and last-second shots. Away from school, she loves to surf, chasing waves whenever she gets the chance. There’s something about the wind rushing past her that makes JK feel completely alive.

Living with Sarariman in an apartment near KAMI SYSTEMS means JK is never far from whatever trouble seems to follow her increasingly stressed older brother. Cheerful, competitive and always ready to throw herself into something new, she takes her own emerging abilities considerably more in stride - even though she has no idea where they come from. Whether she’s riding a wave, shooting hoops or charging into danger, things just seem to move the way JK wants them to. For some reason, the wind always seems to be on her side.
