MARINER'S RHYME
Perched above Dead Man’s Cove on the secluded outskirts of Beacon Point, Mariner's Rhyme has been home to Sofie and her grandfather for as long as she can remember. The handsome old sandstone house sits among trees and dark coastal rock, sufficiently removed from its neighbours for Gramps to enjoy his music at unreasonable volumes—and for the occasional unusual dinner guest to come and go without attracting much attention.
To Sofie, it is simply home: comfortable, familiar and full of eighteen years of memories. Below the house lies her Basement, while the cliffs descend toward a small private-feeling beach, a dark sea cave and the waters beyond. On the horizon, an abandoned lighthouse has watched over the property for longer than either of them has lived there. Like most things in Sofie’s life, the house has a history she has never thought to question.
